Solid lines are P2P rates. The dashed line is the spot reference: the OKX USDT/USD index multiplied by the day's USD exchange rate. When P2P sits above the dashed line, buying USDT on P2P costs more than spot.

MiCA after 1 July 2026: what ESMA told providers and clients
The transitional period under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) ended on 1 July 2026. In a public statement dated 23 June 2026 (republished by France's AMF), ESMA said crypto-asset service providers without MiCA authorisation must “immediately stop onboarding new EU clients” and “cease marketing activities and solicitation”. Firms established outside the EU cannot provide MiCA services to EU clients or solicit them. The only exception is a service provided strictly at the client's own exclusive initiative.
For clients, ESMA's advice is to “verify whether their provider is authorised under MiCA in the ESMA Register”. Clients of unauthorised providers do not benefit from MiCA safeguards, including the protections for client assets.
Where OKX and Binance stand in the EU
- Binance: in an update for European users on 24 June 2026, Binance wrote that it “has withdrawn its MiCA application in Greece and will pursue authorisation in another EU Member State”. It added that some users may be affected depending on their country and account status. Separately, the Netherlands is on Binance's List of Prohibited Countries (version updated 5 January 2026).
- OKX: its Terms of Service (last updated 22 October 2026) say EEA residents in OKX's approved operating locations are served by OKX Europe Limited, a Malta company. OKX's own page on its MiCA licence, last revised in September 2025, says it will passport the licence from its Malta hub to all 30 EEA member states.
Neither statement addresses P2P trading as such, so check what your own account offers, and look up the provider in the ESMA Register. The euro figures on this page are public ad prices and say nothing about a provider's authorisation.
Euro P2P prices next to the spot line
The spot line converts USDT's market value into euros at the day's rate (how the comparison works). A board figure close to spot does not mean every ad is priced the same: individual ads sit higher or lower, and they accept different payment methods.
The converter and the 1,000 USDT in euros page use the latest buy rate.
FAQ
How can I check whether a crypto provider is authorised under MiCA?
ESMA tells clients to verify whether their provider is authorised under MiCA in the ESMA Register. Since the transitional period ended on 1 July 2026, clients of providers without MiCA authorisation do not get MiCA's safeguards, including its protections for client assets.
Is Binance authorised under MiCA?
On 24 June 2026 Binance said it had withdrawn its MiCA application in Greece and would pursue authorisation in another EU member state. For its current status, check the ESMA Register.
What is 1,000 USDT worth in euros today?
Open the 1,000 USDT in euros page or type 1,000 into the converter; both use the latest rates on the board, refreshed every 10 minutes. The buy rate is what an advertiser charges you for USDT, and the sell rate is what an advertiser pays you for it. The ad you choose sets the actual amount.
