OJK's whitelist: which crypto platforms Indonesia licenses
Crypto trading in Indonesia has been supervised by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) since 10 January 2025. On that date Bappebti handed regulation and supervision of digital financial assets to OJK and Bank Indonesia. OJK's rule for the sector is POJK No. 27 of 2024 on the implementation of digital financial asset trading.
On 19 December 2025 OJK published a whitelist of licensed and registered crypto traders (press release SP 226/GKPB/OJK/XII/2025), naming 29 platforms. Its advice to the public reads: “Hanya melakukan transaksi aset keuangan digital/aset kripto melalui PAKD dan CPAKD yang tercantum dalam Whitelist”. In English: transact in digital financial assets and crypto only through the licensed (PAKD) and registered (CPAKD) traders on the whitelist. Neither Binance nor OKX appears on it.
The same release cites Article 304 of the P2SK Law (Law No. 4 of 2023). For breaching the licensing requirement it sets five to ten years' imprisonment and a fine of Rp1 billion to Rp1 trillion.
On 22 June 2026, OJK's PASTI task force announced that it had stopped the business of 228 illegal digital financial asset traders between January and May 2026. OJK posts dated lists of licensed providers on its licensing page; the latest one listed in October 2026 is dated 22 September 2026.
