Solid lines are P2P rates. The dashed line is the spot reference: the OKX USDT/USD index multiplied by the day's USD exchange rate. When P2P sits above the dashed line, buying USDT on P2P costs more than spot.

How much more rupee buyers paid than spot

Of the eleven currencies on this site, the rupee carried the biggest P2P markup on 27 October 2026: buyers paid about 8.8% over the spot reference, so 100 USDT cost roughly what 108.8 USDT would have cost at spot. OKX had no rupee buy ads that day, which left Binance P2P as the only source for the buy figure. How spot and the premium are worked out is in the P2P premium guide.

The sell rate sits on the other side of the market. The two rates come from different advertisers' ads, so the gap between them is only a rough guide to what buying and then selling would lose; the ads on offer when you trade decide the real cost. A single day is not a trend, and the chart shows whether the markup holds.

OKX and Binance both say P2P prices are set by the users who post the ads. The tax and registration rules below apply to crypto transfers in India in general; they are background, not the reason for the gap.

OKX, Binance and users in India

OKX's Risk & Compliance Disclosure (last updated 8 July 2026) names India among its Restricted Locations, places where OKX “may restrict or prohibit use of all or a portion of the Services”.

For Binance, the public record is an enforcement order followed by a registration. In Order No. 10/DIR/FIU-IND/2024 of 19 June 2024, India's Financial Intelligence Unit found Binance to be a reporting entity under section 2(1)(wa) of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act and imposed a penalty of Rs 18,82,00,000 (Rs 18.82 crore). On 15 August 2024, Binance announced that it had registered as a reporting entity with FIU-IND. India is not on Binance's List of Prohibited Countries (version updated 5 January 2026).

An FIU-IND registration concerns anti-money-laundering reporting. It says nothing about how the tax rules above apply to a given trade.

FAQ

How much is 100 USDT in rupees today?

Type 100 into the converter on this page, or read the latest board above it; both refresh every 10 minutes. Use the buy rate if you are paying rupees for USDT and the sell rate if you are turning USDT into rupees. The ad you pick on the exchange sets the final amount.

Why can the OKX buy price for INR be missing on this page?

On 27 October 2026 OKX listed no INR buy ads, so the OKX buy cell showed a dash and the rupee buy figure came from Binance alone. OKX's Risk & Compliance Disclosure lists India among its Restricted Locations, where OKX may restrict all or part of its services.

What tax applies to crypto gains in India?

The Income Tax Department's ITR-2 FAQ says gains from virtual digital assets are taxed at 30% under section 115BBH, plus applicable surcharge and 4% cess. ITR-2 and ITR-3 have a separate Schedule VDA where this income can be disclosed transaction-wise.

Who deducts TDS when USDT changes hands on P2P in India?

The Income Tax Department's pages confirm TDS on payments for the transfer of a virtual digital asset (section 194S, reported on Form 26QE, and on Form 141 under the Income-tax Act, 2025). They do not say who deducts in a P2P trade between two individuals. Ask the Income Tax Department or a tax adviser.
