Solid lines are P2P rates. The dashed line is the spot reference: the OKX USDT/USD index multiplied by the day's USD exchange rate. When P2P sits above the dashed line, buying USDT on P2P costs more than spot.

Philippine residents: what the exchanges' own lists say

OKX publishes a list of “Restricted Locations” in its Risk & Compliance Disclosure (last updated 8 July 2026), plus a second list of places where particular services, P2P among them, are limited. The Philippines is on neither. Binance's List of Prohibited Countries, in the version marked “Updated: 5 January 2026”, does not name the Philippines either.

Being left off a restricted list is not the same as holding a licence or registration in the Philippines.

Philippine regulators

Advisories and rules on crypto-asset service providers in the Philippines are published by the Securities and Exchange Commission (sec.gov.ph) and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (bsp.gov.ph). Check both sites for any advisory that names the platform you are looking at.

Buy, sell and spot in pesos

The board gives four peso prices for 1 USDT: a buy and a sell rate on OKX P2P, and the same pair on Binance P2P. The buy rate is roughly what an advertiser asks for 1 USDT; the sell rate is what an advertiser offers to pay you for one. The two rates come from different advertisers' ads, so the gap between them is only a rough guide to what a buy-then-sell round trip would lose. The ads on offer when you trade decide the real cost.

The spot line is not a price anyone offers. It converts USDT's market value into pesos and shows whether peso ads are running above or below the wider market (how the premium is worked out).

The converter uses the buy rate unless you switch it. Ready-made pages show 100 USDT and 1,000 USDT in pesos. The amount you actually pay depends on the ad you pick, since each advertiser sets its own price, limits and payment methods.

Paying pesos on a P2P order

The peso transfer never passes through the exchange. OKX describes P2P as a marketplace where buyer and seller pay each other directly while the exchange holds the seller's USDT in escrow. Binance says the same: the crypto is reserved in escrow once an order is created. Whether that escrow can help you in a dispute depends on a few rules from their help pages:

  1. Pay from an account in your own name.OKX's P2P User Agreement prohibits paying with an account whose owner name differs from the verified name on the OKX account. Its sell-side FAQ calls payment from a third-party account risky.
  2. Pay only the account shown in the order.Binance's appeal rules say Binance is not liable if a buyer sends money to an account other than the one in the payment details, or to a third party.
  3. Keep messages inside the order chat.OKX asks users to do this because the chat “can be used as supporting evidence during a dispute.”

FAQ

How much is 1,000 USDT in pesos right now?

Open the 1,000 USDT in pesos page or enter the amount in the converter here; both use the latest board figures, which refresh every 10 minutes. Paying pesos for USDT means the buy rate, and receiving pesos for your USDT means the sell rate. Your chosen ad sets the final total.

Why does the USDT to PHP rate differ between OKX and Binance?

Each exchange has its own set of P2P ads, and both say the price on an ad is set by the user who posts it, not by the exchange. The two columns therefore come from different groups of advertisers and rarely match.

Is the Philippines on OKX's or Binance's restricted list?

No. The Philippines is not named in OKX's Risk & Compliance Disclosure (last updated 8 July 2026) or in Binance's List of Prohibited Countries (version updated 5 January 2026). That is not a licence or registration in the Philippines; for that, check the SEC and BSP sites.
