Rates are reference values
The P2P buy and sell rates are medians computed from public OKX and Binance ads under a fixed rule and refreshed every 10 minutes. The spot reference is calculated from the USDT/USD index and a reference exchange rate. Neither is a price you can trade at. Ads change constantly and data sources can lag or fail; the exchange's order page at the moment you trade is final.
Local rules
Whether buying, selling or holding USDT, or using a particular exchange, is legal where you live depends on local law and each platform's terms. Several regulators restrict or warn against crypto trading or unlicensed platforms. Check the rules that apply to you before acting.
